CUSTOM STRATOHAWK

The Nerf Rapidstrike blaster has been out for some time now, somewhere around September 2013 it started to hit the store shelves. However is was only just recently that Hasbro came out with a repainted version called the Stratohawk that sparked our interest. The Stratohawk was themed in orange and black but was essentially a rapidstike in disguise. The Stratohawk already had a adjustable stock but we replaced that with a thumbhole design just because it completed the overall design theme we were looking for.
In order for us to call this a full body kit we needed to change the entire look of the gun, just adding accessories just would not quite do it. So we designed a entire front end that would slide on in one piece. We used the upper Nerf mount as a guide to slight the front end on and the rest of the gun would fit snugly in place, keeping a tight fit and appearance. However, one not so apparent disadvantage of this design is that we were covering up the battery tray, which means the entire front end would have to come off every time the battery needed to be changed. This was something we decided to live with at the time and after all it would only be a few set screws holding the whole thing on anyway.
The front end would feature a 18″+ long picatinny rail on top and a integrated grip on the bottom. Beside the two side rails that come on the stock blaster, the front end would also have four additional picatinny rails, two on each side for mounting lasers, flashlights or anything else for that matter. Other accessories were dual 15 round magazine with our mag connector and bumpers. A picatinny mounted scope and offset back up iron sights.
The specs:
- Dry Weight: 6 lbs 5oz / 2.86kg
- Length: 34.5″ / 87.63cm
- Width: 4.5″ / 11.43cm
- Height: 14.5″ / 36.83cm
One day we take the Stratohawk apart and put a set of brushless high rpm motors in it. But that is for another day.
