This was one of my first gun projects that I ever did. The idea came to me when I seen a picture of real gun with a host of accessories on it and I always want to make some sort of movie/scfi gun out of spare parts and things. Well here is it. We used slide projector cases for the drum magazines and telescope lens extensions placed in the center to give them a cooler look. I used a standard 6 round mag and cut it up to make the slide projector cases sit close together. I also had to print a bracket so they would not flop around do to the large mass.
As a side hobby, I was building my own computers and had a mess of computer parts laying around. So why use them here. I mounted two CPU heatsink/fans on two aluminum brackets that I made. The brackets replaced the two side Nerf mounts that were on the Rapidstrike. I also made a short aluminum extension to go on the Rapidstrike’s front nozzle and in front of that, another CPU fan, combined with two different telescope lens extensions. Glue was my friend that day.
There is only two flashlight on this beast, but down on the lower level yet another CPU heat sink which was attached on the bottom mount of the Rapidstrike. On the top side, there is a offset extended Picatinny rail which doubles as a carry handle and on top of that, is a cheap red dot scope to keep it honest.
I had no plans to shoulder this, I don’t think anyone would argue that fact. Mainly because it weighed a ton and the other thing, it was just huge. I took a carry handle from a Vulcan and printed a bracket so I could attach it to the front Picatinny mount. It was a strong connection point so there were no worries about it letting go.
The paint job was done by a guy in Georgia was doing this type on work on the side. It cost a fortune to send it from PA to GA and back but it turned out great and now it sits on my dresser as a show piece. Don’t be afraid to try some thing like this there are no mistakes. First time building or expert level, it doesn’t matter.
